Meet your host

Alyson Wakeen

I founded Cambium in 2022, answering a quiet but persistent call to help others rekindle their connection with the natural world. I’ve long been drawn to the rhythms of nature and, with a background in wildlife biology, always felt there was something missing for me in the scientific world of measurable outcomes. It wasn’t until I found myself deep on my own journey of healing that I reconnected with the spirit, pulse, and wisdom of nature — this changed everything for me.

Now, with a blend of scientific insight and deep reverence for the natural world I co-create experiences that open space for grounding, reconnection, and transformation.

Because for me, it’s personal — this work changed my life. Every offering I share comes from a soul-led heartspace and a learner’s mind.

No matter how far we wander, we each have a unique relationship with nature waiting to be rekindled and nourished. Let’s grow together.

I get it, feeling a full-body “yes!” to an experience with people you may not know in a place you’ve never been can be uncomfortable…

And in that stretch between discomfort and ease is where the magic happens. Where new connections bloom. Fear takes a passenger’s seat. And you peel back another layer towards authenticity.

I’ve got your back on this journey — all participants are deeply cared for and supported leading up to and throughout retreats — and I acknowledge your leap of faith! Let’s do this.
